That's the beauty of it. They don't need to be! Kinecto calls their regular phone (landline, flip phone, or smartphone). They just answer like any call. No apps, no setup, no passwords. If they can answer a phone, they can use Kinecto.

Kinecto asks for your parent's consent during the first call, and they can say "stop calling" at any time to pause the service. You'll be notified so you can discuss it together. Their comfort always comes first. This is about helping them, not pressuring them.

No, and it's not meant to. Kinecto fills the gaps between your calls, not replace them. When you can't call this week, your parents still hear your news, and you still hear how they're doing. When you do call, those conversations are richer because you're both already caught up.

After every call, you receive a summary: what your parent talked about, how they seemed, topics they enjoyed, and anything that might need attention. Over time, you'll see patterns: when they're feeling good, when something seems off, what they love talking about.

Calls typically last 10-15 minutes, though your parent can talk longer or shorter as they'd like. Kinecto naturally wraps up the conversation when the time feels right, always ending warmly. If your parent is having a great time, it won't cut them off mid-story.

We don't store full call recordings. That's a deliberate privacy choice to protect your parent's dignity. Instead, you get detailed written summaries with key quotes, mood analysis, and topics discussed. You'll know exactly how the call went without needing to listen to the whole thing. We do save short "Treasured Memories" audio clips of special moments, like your dad retelling his favorite story, so you can hear those in their own voice.

Kinecto is designed to be patient and adaptive. It follows your parent's pace, doesn't correct them, and responds with warmth even if the conversation goes in circles. Kinecto uses these notes to guide conversations naturally. You can also prepare specific questions before each call and share family updates you want Kinecto to bring up.
